Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Chile: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Chile saw notable activity across the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the performance metrics for each app.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 25K at the beginning of October and climbing to over 33K by the end of December. The app maintained a robust presence with weekly active users ranging from 2.1M to 2.5M, peaking in mid-December.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides also showed impressive growth in downloads, beginning at around 18K and reaching nearly 24K at the end of the quarter. Active user numbers fluctuated, with a peak of over 945K in mid-December.

inDrive. Save on city rides had a steady trajectory in downloads, starting at approximately 17K and rising to 20K by late December. The app’s active user base saw an increase from about 562K to over 667K during the quarter.

For Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, weekly downloads hovered around 10K to 12K, with active users showing a modest increase from 186K to nearly 200K by mid-December.

Finally, Cabify demonstrated stable download numbers, peaking at over 11K in late December. The active user count remained relatively steady, fluctuating between 277K and 333K throughout the quarter.
